Hero or Zero?

-----------------------------------------------------------
- Bruno Gideon

Are you a Hero, a Winner? Congratulations, but be careful. Remain humble, because “pride goeth before a fall.” Or are you down right now? Don’t panic. Winning means falling down and getting up, again and again. When you’re down, assure yourself that it’s only temporary. It is!

Even after a bad harvest there must be sowing.
– Seneca

He that can’t endure the bad, will not see the good.
– Yiddish proverb

What is the difference between a Winner and someone who is not there (yet)? Winners refuse to stay down. Falling down hurts, but it is part of the game, and it is never final. Tell yourself that it is temporary, concentrate on what’s coming next, and soon you will be on your way to being a Winner again. What really matters is that you don’t lose confidence in your ability to persevere. Never.

If you are down right now, do what singer Nat King Cole advised: “Take a deep breath, dust yourself off, and start all over again.”
