Accepting Criticism

------------------------------------------------------------
By Bruno Gideon

You should not only accept criticism, but embrace it. If you close your mind to criticism, you may save yourself some hurt feelings, but all you’re really doing is hurting yourself by limiting your potential. If you discourage others from evaluating your decisions and reject being criticized, you will pay a high price: a clouded judgment, a string of bad decisions, and lots and lots of stress that easily could have been eliminated.

To avoid criticism do nothing, say nothing, be nothing.
– Elbert Hubbard

I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief.
– Gerry Spence

A key factor to success? Yes, I believe that the ability to accept – and even ask for – criticism is the most important factor in becoming a success in business and personal life. Embrace critique as an important factor that should accompany you every day. Only then will you be able to change your positions, correct your mistakes, and learn what you really can do.

How about right now? Are you inviting others to criticize you?
